Israel is facing mounting calls to end the fighting in the Gaza Strip amid fears of a new Zionist onslaught on Rafah where about 1.4 million displaced Palestinians have sought refuge from Israel’s relentless bombardments of other parts of the Palestinian enclave.

White Coat Battles

Junior Doctors are about to embark on their tenth round of industrial action. Their union, the British Medical Association, say that despite making some progress in pay talks the Government has repeatedly failed to present a credible offer. The BMA offered the Health Secretary the opportunity to cancel the latest round of strikes before it was announced if she agreed to extend the mandate for strike action for four weeks. This she refused, hence the latest strike.

The Israelis are rampaging through Gaza. Raiding hospitals. Killing women and children. Destroying schools and homes. Spreading terror with bombs and drones – that’s what their much vaunted army is good at – but it’s a different story when they come up against the Palestinian resistance. The Israelis are paying a high price for their aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. Their northern border is ablaze. Over half a million Israelis have fled abroad to escape the fighting and the Houthi Yemeni government’s blockade has closed Israel’s only port on the Red Sea.
